ADHD Evaluation
Service Description
An abbreviated neuropsychological evaluation can help confirm the presence of problems with inattention and/or hyperactivity/impulsivity related to an attentional disorder (such as ADHD) or other causes. Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood. Children with ADHD may have problems with focusing/attending, being overly active/restless, and/or show impulsive behaviors (saying or doing things too quickly without thinking first). This assessment includes: -parent/guardian or relative interview(s) -questionnaires by parent/guardian (and relevant teachers, providers, etc.) -Neuropsychological testing involved (e.g., visual attention, auditory attention, impulsivity, etc.) More extensive testing is available within a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation (see "Neuropsychological Evaluation" tab).
