Neuropsychological Evaluation
Service Description
Neuropsychological evaluations assess individual's functioning in various areas, including intellectual, cognitive, academic, and emotional/behavioral functioning. Test results are used to determine strengths and weaknesses, with the goal of helping client's to be more successful in school, social, and other situations. CHILD & TEEN/ADOLESCENT EVALUATIONS: Evaluations involve a review of available records; interview of the parent/guardian, child, and potentially school staff or other professionals familiar with the child; and psychometric testing. If a diagnosis seems appropriate, test results can help determine if the child qualifies for special education programming or appropriate accommodations. The results of the evaluation are used to develop treatment recommendations and interventions. ADULT EVALUATIONS: Evaluations involve a review of available records; interview of available relative/significant other familiar with the client, client, and potentially professionals familiar with the client (therapist, neurologist, etc.); and psychometric testing.
